Dr Marguerite Gleason Dvm

tldr: Dr. Gleason and her team are the best ever and my dogs kisses no longer smell like death I have a special needs boy with epilepsy and a heart murmur. A couple months ago he woke up one morning with a big bump under his eye. Our primary vet informed us it was an abscess and that he would need to get dental surgery. Because our baby requires special care due to his conditions, we were referred to a specialist. It took a couple weeks to get the initial consult with Dr. Gleason but her team was very responsive and ensured my baby got the antibiotics he needed while we waited. Once we got the appointment, Dr. Gleason and Nicole were amazing with him. It’s important to note that in my eyes, my dog walks on water and is the center of my universe. I was really scared to put my little 11 lb senior chihuahua mix under but they were so good at comforting me and reassuring me the entire apt. I had complete trust in them. Dr. Gleason is so funny and personable and I had mentioned a silly story about my dog, Henry, to her. From that initial consult, she always remembered that story and would bring it up when I would see her. She didn’t just treat Henry like a regular dog, she treated him like the most important thing in the world (because he is). She made him a top priority and cared for him like her life depended on it. She and her wonderful team (s/o Sara and Neredia) were so kind and made sure Henry was well taken care of. Henry is treated like a national treasure in that office. During his surgery, they kept me up to date on everything and were so accommodating. Being a helicopter dog mom, I wanted to stay at the vets office the whole time he was under. Not only did they allow me to stay there, they put me in a quiet room, gave me snacks, and kept updating me every chance they could. I was a wreck that whole time he was under but they didn’t make me feel like a weirdo at all. They love our babies as much as we do and are such wonderful people. Every member of that team is so amazing and I genuinely would go in there just to hangout with them. Im so thankful she was able to take care of my baby!

My kitty Marceline had to have 14 teeth extracted. It was an awful, stressful, agonizing day waiting for her to be done! It was such a relief when Dr. Gleason and her assistant walked into the room with Marcy. Dr. Gleason stayed later that day to finish up with Marcy, despite having to pick her son up at 6:30. I really appreciated that after the procedure she took the time to walk me through everything with care and detail, even though she had other things waiting on her. I think it’s a great indicator of the kind of professional she is, and the care she is willing to provide. Marcy and I say thank you Dr. Gleason!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Dr Gleason and her staff. My kitty Mango is almost 18 years old and was diagnosed with diabetes a little over a year ago. His teeth have been getting worse and we were told many times he was just too old to put under anesthesia. We managed awhile with antibiotics but you can’t do that forever. The last few months his diabetes has been out of control and he was miserable. He had recently developed a snotty and bloody nose as well. Mango’s diabetes specialist at CASE referred us to Dr Gleason because she knew she works with many high risk patients and anesthesiologists and does advanced dentistry. He had extensive oral surgery and many extractions. It was also discovered that he had two oronasal fistulas one on each side so that was causing the nose issues. It has been almost a month since his surgery and he has recovered wonderfully. He acts like the kitty we had 5 years ago. He’s much more social and happy. The best part is we have been able to reduce his insulin from 10 units per day to 6! His glucose numbers have been amazing too! If you’re on the fence or you’ve been told your animal is too old, please go see Dr Gleason! Dental issues affect so many other things and I would absolutely trust her with all my fur babies! My only regret is waiting this long. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth every penny! Thank you Dr Gleason for taking care of Mango!

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Gleason and her staff! My puppy was seen by Dr. Gleason for a mild malocclusion at just 14 weeks old. Dr. Gleason and her team did an amazing job at not only giving me peace of mind through the process but also preventing my puppy from needing surgery. Dr. Gleason took the time to thoroughly explain everything and answered all of my questions. I highly recommended Dr. Gleason to anyone looking for top notch dental care.

Dr. Gleason gave my 10yo morkie a second chance at life! My sweet sophie was attacked by a stray dog while on a walk with a sitter- who heroically put her hands in the fight and pried the dog’s mouth off of sophie’s head. She had extensive damage from the neck up. A gaping wound on her head, deep puncture wounds on her neck, and a severely broken lower jaw. We weren’t sure what her life would look like- but Dr. Gleason did an amazing job patching her up. She spoke with me after evaluating Sophie and was so kind, explained everything thoroughly and was able to assure me her quality of life could still be great. After surgery, I was amazed at seeing the before and after photos. While they were so tough to see at the time, I was so thankful they gave me these. Even at the end of the day she spent all the time we needed answering questions and discussing next steps. She even brought me cookies and a drink when I got woozy from seeing my pup that way. After placing and removing a wire in her lower jaw post mandibulectomy, months of healing time and a whole lot of love, Sophie is completely back to herself. Her wounds healed so well, with the fur grown back you can hardly tell anything happened. Her tongue hangs out a little with a smaller lower jaw but it makes it even cuter!! Dr. Gleason checked on Sophie every couple weeks throughout recovery and emailed directly with me. I am forever indebted to her for giving me a second chance with my baby.
