I will never have enough words to thank Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Huntersville for what they did for my cat, Moon. Moon had a medical emergency when he started urinating blood which resulted in hospitalization, a catheter, blood transfusions, and ultimately surgery. Dr. Dalton was the doctor we spoke to at intake and she worked the entire weekend moon was hospitalized. She was exceptional and I selfishly wish she could be our general practitioner. However, her compassion, knowledge, and care will be appreciated by many more emergency clients that have to unfortunately come through their doors. Dr. Leyva performed Moon’s surgery, and did an amazing job making sure to take care of him. After surgery, Moon was finally able to come home and recover. I also want to recognize the technicians, assistants, ICU/ER staff, front desk team, and everyone behind the scenes. Even the people whose names I never learned made a difference, and you did not go unnoticed. The care, communication, honesty, and compassion our family received throughout such a terrifying experience meant everything to me. And I also can’t forget the generous blood donors who helped give Moon another chance. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my baby!

Dr. Manukov and the entire staff at CVS helped make an incredibly scary situation with our dog as comforting as possible for us. Our 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Fred, became seriously ill very quickly over Labor Day weekend, and we rushed him to CVS. Dr. Manukov and her team were kind, compassionate, and caring throughout the entire three days he was there. She always made herself available to answer our questions, whether by phone or in person, and we never once felt rushed or like we were a bother. The front desk staff went above and beyond as well. Everyone we encountered treated Fred with such care and treated us with understanding and compassion during an extremely stressful time. I truly cannot say enough about these amazing people. They literally saved our dog’s life, and we will be forever grateful. Thank you, Dr. Manukov and the entire CVS team, for taking such wonderful care of our Fred!
