Vca Broad Street Animal Hospital

Very impressed with this office in Fuquay Varina. Staff was very friendly and my kitten enjoyed all the attention she received. Dr Hennessey was very thorough and informative and took up time with us and answered any questions we had. I decided to use this office for my future pet needs.

We have been taking our cats here due to convenience of location; however after receiving subpar and deceptive care for well over a year now we will finally have to start making the trek elsewhere. Every appointment is $700+ (even with paying for their “care club insurance” program) for them to tell us he’s fine (he’s not) and pass us off, refer us, or tell us to come back to run the same tests for $700+ and still get no answers or results. The straw that finally broke the camels back was when we brought our cat in and there was no vet available. So they referred us to an emergency hospital, but not the one that’s covered with the care club so again we got another $700+ bill. As part of the care club, it clearly states on the website/app that one specialty/emergency consult at blue pearl hospitals is covered per year. When I asked the practice manager why he was not referred there instead for coverage, she said it was because “they don’t actually cover pets on our plan”. I advised her that is very deceptive marketing as it is clearly listed as a perk of paying for the care club *photo attached below*. She also tried to justify it saying it’s because blue pearl is “further” …but for an extra 10 minutes drive I would be more than willing to do so to see a provider in network. It seemed like a cop out answer and again very deceptive dismissive answers. We still have no answers for our pet, but are out about $2000 total since we started this journey to find health answers. The manager said the care club only covers “exam fees” (which she said is $100s of dollars in savings, but according to the invoice is actually only $30 of savings *photo attached below*) So paying $20 a month to only save $30 on the off chance you have to bring your pet in… to me that makes absolutely no sense financially. No actual tests/vaccines/medical interventions are covered. There also appears to be a high turnover of staff. He never seems to see the same people, so that could also be contributing to the problem of getting no answers. But due to the deceptive pricing structure and marketing, lack of care and knowledge from employees, we will seeking care elsewhere. There was also a strong consensus in online community forums that VCA Broad street is one practice to stay farrrrr away from, wish I would have known a couple thousand dollars ago!

Brought both of my girls in as a first-time customer. Only one dog was actually treated. The other was sent home as if nothing was wrong. When I got home I found a skin issue they missed. I called the next day and office manager Kathy Joe doubled down: if I wanted them to look at the problem they had just said wasn’t there, I would be charged again. I already spent $90 on medicine alone and they still wanted to squeeze more money out of me instead of standing behind the exam. The way this was handled was greedy and dismissive. I am disgusted and deeply disturbed. Avoid this place

This place has the best care, genuinely. I took my baby for an ear infection & she’s feeling much better! They really care & are amazing with both animals & people! I will be going here from now on!! Thank you so much! Kayla & Dr.W are amazing !!! 🩷

Had the best experience here! The staff was friendly, the clinic was clean, and both the vet and assistant were incredibly kind and patient with our cat. They even gave us a welcome bag with some treats for our kitty, which was such a sweet touch. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. Highly recommend!
