On July 2nd, 2026 I had a spay surgery scheduled for my bunny Lily in which she was not only meant to be spayed, but examined for her overall health. She unfortunately did not make it through the weekend. I was given medicine for pain management, however that was ineffective as she passed away due to the surgery. I took her to an animal emergency hospital in which she was had to be euthanized within the hour due to extreme weakness caused by the surgery done two days prior. I am extremely disheartened in this clinic as instead of improving her lifespan, it did the complete opposite. Shortly after Lily passed, I called this establishment to inquire about any compensation as the surgery was unsuccessful and had a negative impact on my bunny's health to which I was not made aware could ever happen. While I understand there aren't any guarantees, I payed for the initial yearly examination with the intention of determining if she was in a healthy condition to undergo surgery and reducing any risks. I trusted that the professionals would be honest and thorough. In addition, I felt some compensation was fair as the surgery caused me to pay over $500 at the hospital for emergency care to which ultimately did not help because she passed away regardless. I have spent nearly $1000 which I am currently still paying off for a procedure that did not help my pet whatsoever. The lack of empathy and concern from this clinic is unbelievable. I have attempted to communicate after the initial update and have been met with no response. While my experience with the front desk staff was pleasant during drop off of Lily, the experience that followed that weekend has reflected very very poorly on the professionals conducting surgery and managing the business.

The vets and techs at Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital are exceptional. They are always kind and they keep up with all my pets' annual needs. They are not the cheapest but they are exceptional.
