Care First

I’ve been taking my little girl here for nearly five years. Care First is a bit expensive, and yes, you can find places nearby that are somewhat cheaper for certain items (shots, for example). But the reason I continue to go back to Care First is simple - the team CARES. My miniature schnauzer was injured earlier this year and suffered a spinal injury, and since then she’s had multiple visits between her annual needs and her follow-ups. Dr. Peterson has gone out of her way to follow-up with me directly to check on my dog’s progress, she’s listened to my concerns and fears, and has never left me in the wind when I’ve asked about something relating to caring for my dog. She truly cares about her patients. And this also includes Dr. Craven and the support staff at the Tryon location, too! It should not go unnoticed that this entire team cares about the sweet animals they see. So the extra money really doesn’t bother me when I take this into consideration, because at the end of the day I know this team will not only remember Pepper, but take additional steps to ensure her wellbeing is at its highest at all times. Thank you, Care First, for loving my Pepper and treating her like one of your own. We’ll be seeing you for many more annuals and check-ups! 💜

My cat Razz was “treated” to a long overdue nail trim. Because handling a 16 pound feline is beyond me, I let the professionals handle it. The vet tech told me he was a sweetie, didn’t bat his paws at her during the trim. A successful outcome as always at Care First.

I have taken Winston to Care First Tryon since he was 4 months old. I have been impressed with the quality of care, patience, and professionalism shown by all Drs and staff. They listen to my concerns and I have never felt rushed or brushed off. We just had him neutered at 18 months and I am so happy with the amount of care we received. My black lab is highly energetic and we are not an easy pair to deal with, but I wanted to say how happy I am with their services and care. I feel confident whenever I contact them that I will be seen quickly and Winston’s health is a first priority. I just want to say thanks so much. UPDATE!!!!!!Today Sept 17, 2026, I called to bring Winston in for scratching along with bumps. I called and received a convenient appointment right away. I saw dr Gordon and Winston was promptly diagnosed along with explanations and a course of antibiotics and Cytopoint. We discussed ear maintenance with diagrams and other concerns I had. Again, another successful appointment. From the beginning (call) to checking in, to intake of information, to meeting with Dr. was seamless and positive for both Winston and I. I feel so grateful to have such a great team so close to me. 😊🐾🖤🐕‍🦺🖤🐾

We love Care First! I first started going to the Oberline location with my cat when I first adopted her because I got a free check up coupon. Years later we bought a house super close to the Tryon location and decided to give it a try. We have never looked back. Everyone here is so so friendly and I feel so confident in my kitty's care every time we go. Couldn't recommend them enough. (I got my brother to take his dog here too and he said he would trust Dr. Peterson with his life).
