We recently switched our two dogs to Johnston after moving to Smithfield. We have had visits with Dr. Parker and Dr. Parson and had a great experience with everyone we encountered. One of our boys has suffered for years with ear infections. We would treat it, it would "go away" and a little bit later we'd be back at square one. This last one was particularly hard to fight - after two rounds of a heavy duty in ear treatment, he was still showing infection in the ear. Dr. Parsons decided to treat it with oral antibiotics on the chance it was deep in the ear and reinfecting the outer ear. After a course of oral antibiotics and ear meds again, he is FINALLY clear and I can tell he is definitely feeling better. I hate to think that he had this infection for so long and we were treating the symptoms we could see, only for it to still be hiding in there. I'm so thankful that she kept trying and adjusting to solve the problem. Definitely give them a try if you are looking for a vet in the area!
