Ironton Animal Hospital

They've always treated us right, very honest about what is/isnt needed. Normally very quick on scheduling and communication, and the staff is great

The vet is great but I waited an hour just to get a combination test on our new kitten for feline diseases and it cost $62 just for the tech to take the test. They have gotten way to expensive.

No complaints here. Staff has always been polite and helpful. Prices are also a little lower and we all know, every little bit helps. Update 08/08/26 A shout out to the staff who continue to offer caring & loving services at affordable prices. The same love and concern other vets offer but at almost if not double the cost. I sincerely appreciate the staff here and what the do.

There is something about Ironton Veterinary Hospital that immediately gives me a sense of home. We recently moved to North Carolina from California, and this practice reminds me so much of the small veterinary hospital I grew up going to, La Plaza Veterinary Clinic in Cotati, CA, with Dr. Joel Reif. It has that same comfortable, hometown feeling that can be hard to find. Most recently, I brought in two of our kittens for their booster shots and our older cat, Adonis, for an exam because he had been experiencing some reflux. Everyone was kind, thorough, and made the visit feel easy even with three cats in tow. Thankfully, all three were cleared as healthy, and I left feeling reassured that they were well cared for. With a multi-cat household, finding a veterinary practice we trust is incredibly important, and Ironton is quickly becoming that place for us. We’ll be back soon for Athena’s dental visit, and I feel very comfortable continuing to bring our animals here. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a veterinary hospital that feels knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely caring.
