Holly Ridge Veterinary Hospital

I walked in with my dog. Thank God They had a cancelation and they took care of him very quickly. I'm super impressed with y'all

I wanted to start out by saying this happened a while ago it has just taken time for me to calm down and write a level headed comment. I came to this practice for help with my adopted cat’s cough. I had informed the Vet Tec that I have only had her for two days and I’m not sure how she would react when being touched due to her being a rescue from a bad situation. Twice the Vet Tec grab my cat under her jaw on her throat I could see my cat was getting angry I asked her to place find another way to hold her. I was informed “I know how to do my job” As to be expected my cat freaked out and the Vet Tec got bit. They did not listen to me once. It was a 8 minute visit and out the door. My kids truly enjoyed the cop showing up to my house treating to put down our new kitten if she bit someone else. Especially since we just got over our previous cat’s death. So thank you for that it was a wonderful memory for my kids. After having the cop show up I called them to ask for a conversation with someone about the situation and guess what I received no call back. After searching on community pages I noticed I was not alone in my situation and it seemed to be a common issue. So I never went back. I understand this is from a while ago but I wanted to take the time and be transparent for any others who were looking at this practice for help. I do understand reporting is necessary but if that women would have taken two seconds to hear what I was telling her instead of trying to be superior none of that would have happened.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Holly Ridge Veterinary Hospital and their entire staff. They saved my puppy’s life, and I will be forever grateful to every one there that helped her and cheered her on when she got better. We have been with this practice through the good, the bad, and some incredibly scary emergencies. Every single time, the doctors and staff have all treated every one of our animals with such compassion, patience and genuine care. All 3 of my dogs go to them as well as our cat. We have been seen by all of the Dr's there and they are all amazing! You can just tell that this isn’t “just a job” to them, all of them from the front desk to the Vet techs and each and every Dr. They all truly care about every animal that walks through their doors. During emergencies, when we were scared and didn’t know what was going to happen, they handled everything with such professionalism, kindness, and grace. Through all our tears they were so understanding and kind. They not only cared for our pets, but they cared for us too, reassuring us and helping us through some very difficult moments. Finding an entire veterinary team that you completely trust with your animals is priceless, and we are so incredibly thankful to have found ours. Thank you to every doctor, tech and receptionist that has taken care of our fur babies over the years. You are all truly amazing and we are so grateful for everything you do!

Do not recommend. Walked in with my dog experiencing an emergency and was denied due to doctors being booked. Would rather let your dog die than to take 15 minutes to just check on them.. not an animal hospital
