Hillsborough Veterinary Clinic

They always take great care of our pets and make sure they get the best care. Patient, caring staff!

I am currently looking for a veterinarian closer to home, as I normally drive about an hour and 20 minutes to our preferred vet. I called this animal hospital simply to get a general idea of pricing for my cat, who is currently experiencing urinary issues. I completely understand that an exact diagnosis or treatment cost cannot be given without examining an animal. I was not asking for a guaranteed quote. I simply asked what their typical exam fee was and for a general idea of what basic testing for a suspected UTI might cost so I could compare it with the estimates I have already received from other veterinary offices. Unfortunately, the two people I spoke with were incredibly rude and dismissive. I was told they do not provide quotes over the phone and that I was “more than welcome to take my pets somewhere else.” That response made my decision very easy. When someone is calling because their animal is sick, asking about expected costs should not result in being spoken to disrespectfully. A simple, professional explanation of their pricing policy would have been completely understandable. Based solely on the customer service I received over the phone, I will not be bringing any of my animals to this hospital. First impressions matter, especially when you are trusting a veterinary practice with animals you love and care for.

Great care, communication.
