Wayne Veterinary Hospital

I had a terrible experience with Wayne. A family member recommended them because they had previously taken a pet there and had a good experience, so I trusted that my baby girl would be in good hands. I brought her in because her health was getting worse, but they couldn’t give me any answers without doing an X-ray, which I was quoted around $1,200 for. That already seemed extremely high, but my biggest concern was figuring out what was wrong with my dog. Another thing that really bothered me was how unsure and non-confident some of the staff seemed when discussing what could be going on with her. When your pet is getting worse and you’re already worried, you want to feel like the people treating her have a clear plan and confidence in what they’re telling you. Instead, I left feeling like there was a lot of uncertainty and not many answers. Before this, Wayne had done her bloodwork, vaccinations, and heartworm testing. I was specifically told that her test was a “triple negative,” including being negative for heartworm. A few days later, my dog’s condition was still deteriorating, so I took her to a different veterinarian. Their X-rays were about half the price, and they were able to identify what was likely wrong with her before they even took the X-rays. What concerns me even more is that my new vet tested her for heartworm and she came back POSITIVE, only days after Wayne had told me she was negative. I understand that no medical test is 100% perfect and that false negative heart worm tests can happen, but when you’re trusting a veterinary clinic with your pet’s health, getting conflicting results like this within days is extremely concerning. Between the extremely high X-ray quote, the lack of answers while my dog’s health continued to decline, the uncertainty and lack of confidence I experienced from the staff, and now the conflicting heart worm results, I unfortunately cannot recommend Wayne based on my experience.

Always professional & pleasant to deal with.

Silver Sr is the most knowledgeable, straight forward, caring and wise doctor I’ve ever experienced! Delivers exactly what I need every time. HIGHLY recommend! Owe him a piece of my heart.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this veterinary clinic. I found a stray kitten on the side of the road that desperately needed help, and despite the urgency of the situation, their team stepped in with compassion, kindness, and professionalism. They quickly assessed the kitten, provided the care it needed, and gave this little one a real second chance at life. What meant the most to me was how genuinely caring everyone was. They treated this stray kitten with the same love and attention they would give any cherished pet. In a stressful moment, they made me feel supported and reassured that the kitten was in the best hands. Because of their dedication and willingness to help in a hurry, a helpless kitten now has hope and a future. I am incredibly grateful for their kindness and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that truly cares about animals and the people who love them.
