Denver Animal Emergency

*In answer to owner's response: If you have people waiting 4 hours, 8 hours, or more for their pets to be seen then maybe you're accepting too many patients. This inability to handle the amount of patients makes me wonder about the quality of care the pets are receiving* DO NOT GO HERE!! If you're looking to open a business, open a vet emergency care facility in this area, and put these guys out of business. I had to go here with my injured cat on Saturday because my vet was not open. I checked in at 9:30am and was told the wait would probably be about 4 hours!!! I really had no choice because my cat was injured, so I waited. At almost 1:30 in the afternoon, I asked how much longer I would have to wait and was told probably another 3 to 4 hours, because they had "alot of emergencies" that day. To exploit vulnerable, desperate pet owners and their injured or sick pets because we have no other option on a Saturday is outrageous and sick. And P.S. they charge a $175 just to walk in the door! That doesn't include any tests, blood work, x rays etc.... DO NOT GO HERE!!

We have a male cat that is approximately 4-5 years old. He’s had a problem with bladder stones and we took him here with his last episode. We were not comfortable, just a bad feeling, but, we left our boy for two days and he is like a brand new cat! I’m telling you, these guys know what they’re doing. Thank you for saving our Choo Choo. We love you! Kimberly and Lynn Hoover.

Very disappointing experience. We brought our dog to this emergency vet because she was very sick and needed answers. We were charged a significant amount for her care and testing, but we left with a diagnosis of pancreatitis based primarily on elevated pancreatic levels. Despite treatment, she was actually worse when we left than when we brought her in, and they were unable to determine what was truly wrong. They recommended we take her to a specialist (Carolina vet specialist in Matthews - amazing) We paid our very high bill from Denver and then had to turn around and pay another very high bill to Carolina veterinary specialist, but they ACTUALLY figured out what was wrong! They diagnosed with Rocky Mountain spotted fever. Looking back at her records, we are very frustrated that the original diagnosis was incorrect and that we spent so much money without getting the correct diagnosis or seeing improvement in her condition. What is especially disappointing is that after discussing our concerns with the medical director, we were told they did not believe anything had been done wrong and that there was no reason for any refund.

Our elderly dog was scheduled to be euthanized at home vet this coming weekend. Last night she got an injury coming down the stairs and we had to make a decision to find a place. Found Denver Emergency and contacted them on the phone that we would be bringing Mochi in for her final vet visit. The staff on phone very understanding and told me to contact them when we arrived. About 1.5 hour later when we arrived called them again. They asked if we needed any assistance to get her in from the car, I told them no. I asked if we could bring her dog siblings in as well to support her and make her feel less stressed. The whole stay was approximately 1.5 hour where never felt rushed or pressured to make a decision. After it was completed my wife stayed behind because it was harder for her to say goodbye. They never pushed her to leave and gave her the extra time to reflect on our loss. The staff was very supportive and understanding of the grief we were going through. I will always be grateful for that.

DO NOT GO HERE IF ITS AN EMERGENCY! The wait time for even getting seen was well over an hour and we were waiting for them to finish the "treatment" for around 5 hours. My cat had a urinary blockage and they acted like it was a uti. My cat is dead because of them
